WALMART TOOK FIGHT TO E-COMMERCE GIANTS

WALMART TOOK FIGHT TO E-COMMERCE GIANTS

Digital world technologies fights and challenges are never-ending competitions. All competitors try to take over other challengers that people consider an alternative in their consideration. However, the E-commerce industry is not behind these fights. E-commerce giants, Walmart and Amazon are in constant competition. Moreover, other constant rivalries are Costco, Walgreens, Kroger, and Home Depot.

Based on their serious efforts, they reached the phase where they can beat, compete, and challenge any retailer industry without any decrement. Other reviews on these retailers can be found in uk.collected.reviews. But most of the parallel competition in this context is between Amazon and Walmart.

BIT-SIZED COMPETITION: AMAZON VS WALMART

Let us have a bit-sized competition to decide whether the retail crown should go with Walmart or Amazon.

  • Financials: Being an online store, Amazon made $43.55 billion by 575K employees while Walmart made $79.6 billion by 2.2 million employees as a physical spacer and online servicer. 40% growth was made by Walmart in 2018 and was entitled as third-largest retailer industry.

  • Innovation: Both E-commerce giants are working to achieve bigger than they have. It means Amazon is struggling to be a physical retailer. If we talk about Walmart, it is investing to develop the best online retailer services. Amazon introduced Amazon Go, a physical store without a cashier that innovated up to 17 countries.

WINNER – AMAZON

  • Digital Growth: In digital transformation, both businesses have made significant investments. Walmart is focusing on expanding its famous pickup and delivery solutions for groceries while Amazon is expanding its cashier-less Amazon Go store. Digitalization is everywhere so no doubt;

WINNER – AMAZON

  • Retail Presence: If we talk about retail presence, Amazon is expanding its retail physical presence and earned $20 billion while Walmart is the biggest physical space holder and earned $270 billion.

WINNER – WALMART

  • Customer-Experience: Amazon scores 82% in customer-focused factor while Walmart scores 74% in this context as this is new for this E-commerce service provider.

We can’t decide which one to offer a crown but if we talk about specific areas. Amazon deserves the crown at online services while Walmart deserves physical retailer services.
