The annual Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation’s fashion show returns Saturday, Feb. 12 at Santini Plaza on 7205 Estero Boulevard in Fort Myers Beach.
The 12th annual fashion show will feature Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation members modeling the latest fashions from local businesses.
In step with the fashion show are the gift baskets, raffles and swag bags which compliment the show and serve as fundraisers for the philanthropic organization.
The baskets are on the third floor at the Fort Myers Beach Public Library, and will be on display through Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Raffle tickets to win the gift bags are being sold at the library and on the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation website at www.fmbcommunityfoundation.com
The raffle tickets are seven for $10. Raffle tickets are placed in the basket of your choice for a chance to win. The drawing will take place on the day of the fashion show at Santini Plaza. Swag Bags are for sale at the foundation website or at the library for $30. The swag bags include coupons and promotional items from local businesses.
“The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation members did a fantastic job putting together some beautiful baskets for the raffle with themes such as Coffee Lovers, Wine Lovers, Charcuterie, Valentine’s Day, Children’s Books/Toys, #WeAreFMB Merchandise, and many more,” Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation Communications Lead Jessica Hernstadt.
Event co-chair Susan Krajewski said there are 31 gift baskets this year. “We have a really good selection of baskets,” she said.
Door prizes include tickets to the Edison Home, gift certificates for jewelry and a beach towel.
The gift baskets range from a $250 gift certificates to the Islander, a $100 gift certificate to One Flight Up to those with wine, pasta dinner gift certificates and tickets to Florida Southwestern State College games.
The fashion show will feature 10 female models and four male models. Fort Myers Beach Mayor Ray Murphy is expected to participate.
The fashion show funds the activities of the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation, including its #WeAreFMB fundraising efforts which have delivered tens of thousands of dollars in Publix gift cards to island workers during the worst part of the pandemic. This year’s fundraising will also assist in the foundation’s scholarship drive, service projects, concerts and other philanthropic activities.
